Kitty Broihier, MS, RD, LD A registered dietitian, Kitty is a food and nutrition communications professional with a focus on written communications. She works with food companies, public relations firms and trade associations in a variety of capacities, including writing for food product and food technology issues, as well as health and wellness.
Kitty’s work also includes recipe development and menu consultation, web content writing, product development consultation and serving on scientific advisory groups. She has authored several cookbooks, written many freelance magazine articles, and contributes to several blogs. Kitty is also an adjunct instructor in nutrition at Southern Maine Community College.
Kitty entered the world of publishing as an editorial staff member at Good Housekeeping magazine. She also worked in public relations for an international food company prior to becoming a consultant.
How does Kitty Connect Nutrition in her life? As a single mom of two teenagers, Kitty considers learning to cook for themselves (and do laundry) to be required life skills that must be mastered before young adults can be let loose into society! Cooking classes for friends and their children have been known to spontaneously generate in her kitchen.
